James Harris is a British Fashion Designer and Consultant Creative Director from London. He currently runs James Harris London and Dubai based James Harris Fashion Creative Services.
James accepted a place on the BA (Hons) Womenswear course at Central Saint Martins, London, graduating in 2000.
His collection caught the eye of then Louis Vuitton’s Womenswear Design Director, Peter Copping who offered him a placement.
Instead James opted to continue his training with friend and mentor ‘Lee’ Alexander McQueen, for whom he trained with and worked on McQueen’s ‘Overlook’ collection.
James went on to work with designers Boudicca, Hussein Chalayan and the avant-garde Polish designer Arkadius.
He led the design team at Arkadius showing collections at London and New York Fashion Weeks.Through Arkadius James met shoe designer Jimmy Choo, jewelry designer Stephen Webster, and the late Isabella Blow.

Couture clients are guided through a traditional, detailed process from design to pattern to toile to final garment. This process will require several fittings and depending on the complexity of the garment, may take several weeks, or even longer, to complete.
